Among the planet’s highest summits people do not have access to eye protection or treatment. Locals have difficulties working in the fields, causing problems for their subsistence economy.

Consequently, communities are forced to settle in lower valleys and cities leaving distinct traditions, ways of life and homes behind.

SHADES OF LOVE contributes to the preservation of health, culture and education in the Himalayas.

To reach the most remote and affected communities and to overcome otherwise inaccessible roads we have to rely on motorcycles, passing great plains, white peaks and torrential rivers.

We also provide medical screenings and eye surgeries in Nepal and India to not only prevent but also treat cataracts or glaucoma, restoring the eyesight of our patients.
